two years
Two years ago today I received a call at work that Tigger had met an untimely end in the jaws of a dog named Happy.
He was such a lovely bundle of muffin despite having to own everything in our apartment (we still find his “mine” pee markings when we move furniture).

random rothko
George pinged me blimath’s “false rothko” which reminded me that the great purge of jezebel.com knocked my 2001 5k entry, random rothko off the web. Even 5 years later, I still think it’s kinda cool.
end of days
There was honest to goodness frost on the car this morning. Frost. In San Francisco.
Removing it with my beloved shower squeegee* reminded me of my first New Jersey Thanksgiving. I was admonished by the elderly aunt of a friend that ice scrapers weren’t for scraping ice from windshields. This was far too dangerous and ice could only be removed with hair dryers.
