I love a good Gum Wall

It’s the places that aren’t typically in the guide books that I like visit when I travel. Myla (*the* Myla Kent who I finally had the pleasure of meeting after years of internet friendship) was totally game when I requested that our tour of Seattle include the Fremont Troll. When I mentioned that San Luis Obispo’s Gum Wall had long been on my wish list, she responded with “we’ve got a gum wall.” And with that, we were off.

Y’know, I’ve lived in NYC forever now and I’m sad to say that I have no idea whether or not we have a gum wall. Surely we must and when I find it, I’ll pull someone aside and say:
“We’ve got a gum wall.”

I love the ticket in the top left corner.

There are gum light posts all per downtown Charleston, SC near the market and King Street. Thought of this post as I passed them this weekend.
